Travelling has always given me excitement which I cannot contain for it is the only time I can really be free. I never really cared of city pollution and it never mattered to me if I inhale smoke from factories, vehicles, and smokers because I know that one day, I'd die anyway.
What matters to me is the happiness I get from freedom when my feet start walking on the streets as I brush elbows with strangers.
Sometimes there will be friendly strangers. Those who unhesitatingly share real-life stories that you don't think would actually happen.
And if you're quite unlucky, you'll meet strangers who take life seriously, who live and walk on earth as if they are not acquainted with anyone.

When I was a child, I witnessed a pregnant woman get hit by a truck. The woman's husband fell on his knees and screamed with remorse. He regretted letting her wife's hand slip from his grasp.
Another story belongs to a couple who were arguing while crossing the street. Because of too much annoyance, the guy shouted at the girl that they were over. And then he left her at the middle of the street.

The roads, the streets, even the alleys are all witnesses to everyday's life situations. They hold a vast number of secrets and stories of break-ups, reconciliations, and tragedies.
Somewhere in the streets of Manila, I left my heart.
